You cannot book a residential course until you have passed your theory!
If you have not, this can be booked via the DSA and taken
in your own area.
To book a theory test you can ring 0300 200 11 22 or
book online.
Residential courses are designed for students who do not live in Colchester or Clacton but still want to learn to drive with a locally respected driving school.
Pupils can travel at the end of a week to one of our specifically selected Bed & Breakfasts, and start their lessons on the Monday. Practical tests are booked to be taken on the last hour of your course.

area you will stay in one of our local hotels on a Bed & Breakfast
basis with upgrades available on request. These are all situated a
short walk from the train station. |

If history is more your thing then Colchester, the oldest
recorded town in Britain, is your ideal place to stay. |

You can choose to learn to drive in a manual (geared) or an
automatic car.
Depending on your driving ability, starting from the complete novice to a recent
test fail, we will have the course that is just right for you.
Which course is right for me?..
Course Details
20 Hours (4 days)
This course is ideal for the young confident pupil who is
nearing test standard or has just failed a test and needs to work on specific
areas to achieve a pass. Tuition is approximately 5 hours per day, accommodation
will be for 4 nights.

25 Hours (5 days)
This amount of hours should be suitable for pupils with little
driving experience but feel competent with the basics and control of the car.
Tuition is approximately 5 hours per day, accommodation will be for 5 nights.

30 Hours (6 days)
A 30 hour course is aimed at a young confident learner with
minimal driving experience, or an older learner who is a little nervous but has
the basic skills to control the car. These include steering, stopping and
starting and gear changes if using a manual car. Tuition is approximately 5
hours per day, accommodation is for 6 nights.

35 Hours (7 days)
This course is aimed at the confident mature pupil with little
driving experience or a confident young novice with no driving experience.
Tuition is approximately 5 hours per day, accommodation is for 7 nights.

40 Hours (8 days)
An ideal course to suit the young and mature student alike. Especially those with
no driving experience at all or whom is very nervous and requires that
little bit of extra help. Tuition is approximately 5 hours per day, accommodation is
for 8 nights.

Once a deposit of £60 has been received your practical test will be booked.
Pricing is based on a standard room, if en-suite is
required, prices are from an extra £10 per night depending on
availability.

Terms & Conditions
Your eyesight must meet the minimum legal requirements.
Your instructor working for Nippers School of Motoring has the right to refuse the
use of their car in the unfortunate event of you not reaching the required
safety standard needed to attend a practical test. Your test fee will not be
refunded by Nippers School of Motoring.
Once the sum of the course has been paid for we have a no refund policy.
Please note: Nippers School
Of Motoring cannot be held responsible for tests cancelled by the Driving
Standards Agency (DSA).
