Picking a Course - Inclusive Prices - Taking Your Lessons - Terms & Conditions
These courses are specifically for people in the Clacton and Colchester
areas. If you do not live near Clacton or Colchester please see our Residential Courses page.
Intensive driving courses are structured for those pupils who would like to obtain their licence in a short period of time. Pupils take their lessons during the week and take their practical test on their last hour of tuition.
Please Note: a practical test cannot be booked until you have passed your theory and hazard perception tests!
Picking a Course
20 Hours
This course is ideal for the young confident pupil who is nearing test standard or has just failed a test and needs to work on specific areas to achieve a pass.
25 Hours
This amount of hours should be suitable for pupils with little driving experience but feel competent with the basics and control of the car.
30 Hours
A 30 hour course is aimed at a young confident learner with minimal driving experience, or an older learner who is a little nervous but has the basic skills to control the car. These include steering, stopping and starting and gear changes if using a manual car.
35 Hours
This course is aimed at the confident mature pupil with little driving experience or a confident young novice with no driving experience.
40 Hours
An ideal course to suit the young and mature student alike who has no driving experience at all or whom is very nervous and requires that little bit extra help.
2 Hour Assessment
If you are unsure of which course to choose we offer a 2 hour assessment lesson in which the instructor can assess your capabilities and recommend how many hours you should need to reach a standard to pass your test.

Taking Your Lessons
Theory test passed - The lessons are spread over one or two weeks with your practical test on the last hour.
Theory test not passed - You can start your lessons straight away while studying for your theory. Once the theory has been passed a practical test will
be booked for you and you can continue or increase your lessons leading up to your practical test.
Terms & Conditions
Your eyesight must meet the minimum legal requirements.
Your instructor working for Nippers School of Motoring has the right to refuse the
use of their car in the unfortunate event of you not reaching the required
safety standard needed to attend a practical test. Your test fee will not be
refunded by Nippers School of Motoring.
Once the sum of the course has been paid for we have a no refund policy.
Please note: Nippers School
Of Motoring cannot be held responsible for tests cancelled by the Driving
Standards Agency (DSA).
